Setting up the VPN on Your Mobile Device

Settings

• VPN Type: L2TP, L2TP/IPSec PSK
• Server address: vpnwindows.yale.edu
• Username/Account: Your Yale NetID
• Password: Your Yale NetID Password
• Secret/Pre-shared Key (PSK) [this is case-sensitive]: legacy

Where to Enter These Settings

IOS

1. The Cisco AnyConnect client is available for iOS. Please see the instructions on how to install the VPN for iOS devices.

ANDROID OS

1. Go to "Settings", 
2. Then to "Wireless and network settings", 
3. And then "VPN settings". 
4. Select "Basic VPN" from the list. 
5. Then select "Add VPN" 
6. And then select "Add L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN" 
7. On the next screen, enter: 

• VPN Type:L2TP, L2TP/IPSec PSK 

• Server address:vpnwindows.yale.edu 

• Username/Account:Your Yale NetID 

• Password:Your Yale NetID Password 

• In the "Set IPSec pre-shared key" dialog enter:legacy 

BLACKBERRY OS

1. Go to "Security", 
2. Then to "VPN", 
3. And then "Add New" 
4. On the next screen enter: 
5. VPN Type:L2TP, L2TP/IPSec PSK 
6. Authentication Type: PSK 
7. Server address:vpnwindows.yale.edu 
8. Username/Account:Your Yale NetID 
9. Password:Your Yale NetID Password 
10. Preshared Key: legacy
